Dinner at Brunnenhof Hanover

Your dinner in the Brunnenhof – a cosy atmosphere with a touch of fine dining.

As dusk falls, the evening light bathes the Brunnenhof in an atmospheric ambience. Rustic and elegant becomes rustic and more elegant. In keeping with the expanded Heimatfood concept – for which a chef with Michelin-starred cuisine experience has been recruited – the dining rooms are stylish and upscale, but with an unmistakable, down-to-earth Brunnenhof signature. In addition to classic dishes such as schnitzel or roast beef, there is now a small, fine dining-inspired speciality menu that invites you on a culinary journey around the world. At lovingly laid tables, you can travel across Lower Saxony, out into Germany, to the culinary epicentres of France, Italy, Spain and Europe, all the way to Asia, out into the world and back again.

Highly down-to-earth with creative excursions

Guests can look forward to creative evening menus: a trout marinated in Niemand gin with guacamole, pearl onions and cucumber combines local influences from Hanover’s premium gin with regional and South American flavours to create a fantastic combination. The ‘spring meadow’ with beurre blanc and waxy country egg has a local Rheinhessen/Frankophile flavour; the high rib steak with teriyaki sauce and polenta slice with a touch of ‘España meets Japan’ is refined and exotic. The sorbet variation with chocolate crumble is a successful combination of fruity and sweet, cold and warm – almost a classic. The menus range from 28.00 to 55.00 euros for three to four courses and are offered in addition to the regular Brunnenhof menu.

Events from private parties to wine workshops

The restaurant offers corresponding wines from its well-stocked wine cellar to accompany all dishes. Despite a recognisable focus on local vines from German and German-speaking locations, the Brunnenhof has curated a fine selection from European, Australian and South American growing regions. These include classics such as Chablis, Bordeaux and Carmanère. For guests who want to add a special touch to their dinner in the form of a private invitation or a business get-together, the Brunnenhof offers wine tasting in a small group. The Kirschzimmer adjoining the restaurant is an ideal retreat for festivities such as birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries or sophisticated ladies’ and gentlemen’s get-togethers. It has cherry wood panelling all round and can accommodate up to 25 people.
